BetrayalBuy Tickets by Harold Pinter
May 3 - 12, 2012
The story of an affair told backwards, Harold Pinter's Betrayal is one of his wittiest and most engaging plays. Emma is married to Robert while having an affair with his lifelong friend Jerry. We go back in time from the end of the affair to its first kiss, watching the small lies and intimate moments that create this love triangle.
Betrayal won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play, and Pinter was the recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Literature. Directed by Alexandra Harbold (Pinnacle's Rabbit Hole and Three Days Of Rain, Salt Lake Acting Company's (a man enters) and The Persian Quarter), this production features Pinnacle Acting Company founders Melanie Nelson and Jared Larkin with Pinnacle newcomer Roger Dunbar.
"Seemingly the most accessible of Mr. Pinter's major works, Betrayal draws you into a situation you think you know all too well, from literature if not life: the romantic triangle ... Betrayal presents as many clues as an Agatha Christie novel, though with no promise of resolution. " - Ben Brantley - The New York Times
